Why create this blog? It holds me accountable to myself and those who wish to share and learn from my life journey. I’m a private person, which has made me self-sufficient in many ways, but has also kept me from being open to others’ advice and experiences.
In October 2020, I weighed around 230 pounds, which was extremely obese and unhealthy. My blood work was alarming: total cholesterol 209, triglycerides 262, LDL 129, glucose 111, and hemoglobin A1c 6.6. At 5’8″, 48 years old, this weight and health metrics, combined with a family history of heart disease, high blood pressure, and a sedentary job, weren’t conducive to a fulfilling life. Additionally, I had a limiting mindset, passively accepting each day and harboring a fear of life.
I preferred to be the ‘man behind the curtain,’ knowledgeable and capable but afraid to step out from the shadows.
This journey is about actively designing my life—improving my physical, mental, and sexual health, and enhancing my relationships with loved ones and future friends. I’ll use this platform to document my journey. Thank you for your time.
